If you currently use these smartphones then you should start looking for whatsapp backup right now. Last year, company also ended its support for Android 2.2 Froyo, iOS 6 and Window Phone 7. The announcement was made after BlackBerry expressed its disappointment with WhatsApp’s decision.
The reason mentioned by company that whatsapp news for end the support in these operating system that they don’t have the kind of capabilities it needs to expand the app’s features. WhatsApp Support page reads, “These platforms don’t offer the kind of capabilities we need to expand our app’s features in the future. If you use one of these affected mobile devices, we recommend upgrading to a newer OS version, or to a newer Android running OS 2.3.3+, iPhone running iOS 7+, or Windows Phone 8+ so that you can continue using WhatsApp.”

Recent rumour that company is working on a new feature for window devices that will allow to user keep chat data like photos, GIFs, videos and messages organised. Company has recently launched re-vamped status feature so uor chatting is concerned, actually company plans to take the other social networking apps.
Company said in a statement, “This was a tough decision for us to make, but the right one in order to give people better ways to keep in touch with friends, family and loves ones using WhatsApp”
